Shengen Visas For Foreigners living in CH

Shengen Visas For Foreigners living in CH?
I asked lot of institions about this question , but still i dont have any right answer. My question is : Inhabitans living in switzerland, with permit B and C, are they going to need anymore shengen visa to enter in Europian Union, or better say Shengen Countrys ? I heared that from 1st november 2008 foreigners living in swiss with permit B and C, do not need any more shengen visas, traveling to EU. Thanks to all in Advance.

No, that's not right. Switzerland is in process to become a member of the Schengen agrrement for travel. This is probably going to happen on 5th or 6th December 2008 pending approval be granted by the European council. Until that date holders of residence permits require a visa to travel to all of the Schengen countries for tourist purpose for up to 90 days.
