Where can I find a young adult greater swiss mountain dog?
I live in the US and am looking for an AKC 9month-3 year old female swissy. Thank you all so much! :)

Did you try Petfinder.com? They link adoptable pets with adoptees. Every once in a while you can luck out and find a young, healthy, certified pet available that may be exactly what you have always wanted. And you may just be saving a life too. :D

For a dog that age with papers other than directly from the owner you could possibly find an older pup young adult from a breeder who has a dog who has washed out from the breeding program or showing for one reason or another but otherwise would make a perfectly good pet. Start at the national breed club and go from there.

If you're looking for a breeding prospect, you will likely have to start with a pup from a reputable breeder and take your chances. No breeder is going to give up a good prospect at that age. If they are willing to sell you one it's because they wouldn't breed it themselves, which tells you something about the quality of the dog. If you're not looking for a breeding prospect, contact the GSMD parent breed club rescue.

http://www.shadetreegreaterswiss.com/adults.html This breeder is in VA and has 2 young dogs to place. They were conformation (show) dogs that turned out not to be as gorgeous as she thought they might be.
