I live in Germany and I am looking for good puppy breeder.?
I am looking for a good breeder in germany(Frankfurt area or around) My husband is in the military and it is not easy to find very many that I know of valid breeders in the area. I am looking to own either a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog or Bernese Mountain Dog to a Siberian husky or Alaskan Malamute puppy. I have done my homework on the breeds the only thing is finding a breeder here. If it goes to the last choice type thing I may go through the valid proper breeders though the States but it goes throught to the same thing I don't actually get to see the parents or atleast the female (since most breeders unless lucky probably wouldn't have the stud dog on sight)or see the conditions of the area that they live in. Not to mention to come from where ever the breeder is from the States to Germany is a long trip for most humans let alone a puppy. Please help me to bring a happy, healthy four-legged child to add to my family.

There have got to be resources there in Frankfurt for dog clubs or breeders. I know pet shops are rare in Germany (I'm there a lot and have only seen one). Perhaps you should try and contact local vets in the area who might be able to put you in touch with breeders...Don't just limit yourself to Frankfurt, be willing to drive 4-5 hours if you need to.

if you want to get a dog in Germany get it over the VDH. This is the German Kennel Club like the AKC. You might have to face some problems to find a breeder that sells to american military ppl because when they get deployed they often let their dogs in germany .http://www.vdh.de/welpenvermittlung/welpen.php don't make the mistake an buy from the internet or from a neighbourcountry . You gonna get a sick dog from a puppy mill .
