What are the swiss really like?
I'm most likely going to be moving to Switzerland for a year as an au pair (nanny) starting this july. The family that I'll be working for sounds great, but I was wondering what the swiss people are really like? They live in northern switzerland on Lake constance. Does anyone have anyone ever been to this area that could tell me a little more of what they thought of the area and what the people are like?

They are FIERCELY independent. You need only look at their history to know that...it actually extends to the people on an individual level. They are mostly really nice people. I had good experiences traveling through. One of the best roommates I ever had, that I remember most fondly, was Swiss. And the country, of course, is most beautiful!

I went skiing over there in february in Geneva and they are very friendly and will just talk to you like theyve known you for ages! i love the swiss haha. the guys are especially hot ;)
