My daughter is half swiss- can we move back to Switzerland?
We were living in Switzerland with her Swiss father until our divorce in 2006, when we moved back to New Zealand (where we are both now residents). I would like to move back there though and enrol my daughter in a swiss school. Is there any way we can do this without support from my ex husband? My child is 4. Thanks heaps for any help!

Do you have a permanent residence status (or even citizenship) in Switzerland, and have you been out of the country for less than six months? If so, you should be ok. If not, you'll need to speak with your local Swiss consulate office.

If you wanna get a citizenship in Switzerland, it doesnt help you at all, when your daughter is half Swiss. You have to apply for a citizenship like all the other immigrants. This is quite a long process, first contact a embassy.
