What am I? Caucasian, hispanic, or what

What am I? Caucasian, hispanic, or what?
Ok, I am really confused as to what to answer, when asked. I was born in Boston, raised in Mexico City, my father is Mexican (but Spanish ancestors) my mother is Swiss. I live in San Diego, and every time I have to answer any any form, it asks for my "ethnicity".

Hispanic.

Hispanic white is my vote. Sometimes they have that option along with Hispanic in many different surveys I have taken.
3 :
Spanish, Mexican and Swiss sounds apporpriate. If on a mtg application, for Reg B and C, Hispanic might be appropriate.
4 :
well, first and foremost, you're American. As to ethnicity, you're multicultural.
5 :
swiss, american, and hispanic because your father is mexican and your mother is swiss.
6 :
you can tell them you are part mexican .. and part swiss. or you can say you are half caucasian and half hispanic or just a white hispanic i'm a white brazilian =) i'm not hispanic though.. brazil doesn't speak spanish.. but we are latin.. i'm a white latin. dunno if that cleared anything up heh confussin i guess

You're the kind of American I like to brag about when I explain to someone what an American really is. You are a true American, a true mix of cultures!
8 :
Other, or the "decline to answer". WTF diff does it make, anyway?
9 :
It doesn't matter. Check which ever you're more comfortable. Unless you're filing for financial aid. Then you're Hispanic. That might sound bad, but it works.

god knows what u are.

I would say both Caucasion and Latino. If you can only check one box; if your coloring if light, check caucasion, if your coloring is darker, check latino. Both of my kids are half Latino and half caucasion. One has my husbands coloring, and the other has mine. So there's a puzzle!:)

Once you have a drop of blood of hispanic or african american that is what you are considered because you are a minority. That's the USA for you. Which 8 - 10 times it works to your advantage. Take care.
13 :
you are white. Spanish is not mexican! you can pick caucasian or you can pick hispanic. you can also decline to state. it's up to you.

I've seen applications with Other and blank line, I would say Hispanic & Caucasin. If you don't feel comfortable, I would say choose the ethnicity that you most associate with. Be proud of your different ethnicity.

My husband says our daughter should check the "white" box because she looks more like me (danish) I say she should check the hispanic box because she has a Mexican dad. It's whatever you feel more comfortable with or identify more with. (Our daughter is only two weeks old, so we've got a while before we deal with this....)

just check decline....

Where you have lived has nothing to do with your ancestral ethnicity. Your father is Hispanic, your mother is European, presumably White. So you are half White, half Hispanic. If you want to delve further, you already know your Mom is Swiss, so you need to research your Father's side more, as you say Spanish ancestors. In the end, I believe the answer will be half white, have hispanic.
18 :
The fact that you are born in Boston and raised in Mexico City is irrelevant to ethnicity. If your dad is Mexican, and mom Swiss, then you are half Mexican and half Swiss, therefore, half Hispanic and half Caucasian.
19 :
Spain is primarily a nation of caucasians... Switzerland is a nation of caucasians.. Sounds like you are a caucasian... What do you see when you look in the mirror ?
20 :
Boston has nothing to do with ethnicity-Mexico City has nothing to do with ethnicity-your father was Spanish, meaning Europe-mother was Swiss-Europe again---you are Caucasian. You should tell them that you are Inuit, that way you will be able to get more financial aid.

you're Hispanic querida, but on your forms put down caucasian cos youre more likely to get the job!!!
