Lufthansa or Swiss International Air Lines?
OK, ive reached a real cross roads i want to be a commercial airline pilot but i have some problems. i dont know weather i should work for Deutsche Lufthansa or Swiss International Air Lines i have more of an emotional connection with swiss and i have since swissair went bust, but i have a citizenship problem in order to go through thier training program i need to be an EU citizen or a Swiss citizen or have a class c residencey permit (which you need to live in switzerland for at least 5 years) so i would probably have to go to college in switzerland and then live there for a year in order to get my class C permit another problem is with Lufthansa i have more aircraft options and would have more travel opprotunities also if i were to be trained by lufthansa it would be much faster I would like to hear anyones input on my situation and if anyone has been through either Swiss avaiation training or Lufthansa cockpit trainging please respond i would very much like to get in touch with u. Latin Techie you dont see the whole problem im getting to the end of high school and yes i have already started i have my PPL and i'm going for my commercial now. and the residencey problem is in switzerland not germany and no lufthansa does not have overseas schools

Go for Lufthansa, they are one of the largest airlines in the world. They have given orders for A380 and so on. There fleet is 450+. There destinations are 300 above. There pays are quiet high $12020 for starting pilot i dont exactly know the pays so you can check that. Im going to be an Aeronautical Engineer in commercial planes. Hope to see you around, if in LUFTHANSA

Lufthansa AG for me THE BEST among the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! you'll surely enjoy taking Lufthansa in travelling to Europe/Asia all their aircrafts are almost brand new and the engines doesn't really roar a liot :)

You say you you want to be a commercial airline pilot, so really you are not yet on the first steps of your career, I think that the first thing is get trained by either and I would personally think Lufthansa is the best for that, then when your experience and hours increase, look for an opening at Swiss. I think Lufthansa have overseas training schools anyway, so the residency question becomes irrelevant.
